How it works

This is a pre-loved school uniform service for Newbury and Thatcham.

It's not a strict exchange, you don't need to donate clothes to take new ones away.

We do ask for a small monetary donation. 100% of your donation goes back into the service to cover overheads. All our volunteers, including the CEO, are unpaid and give up their free-time to provide this service.

OPEN HOURS

The store is open one or two days a month from Sept to July, more frequently during the summer holidays. If you need something please get in touch. Our opening hours are shared on Facebook and Instagram.

DONATIONS

Donated items must be GOOD QUALITY and CLEAN - this includes all uniform (branded and non-branded), shoes, sports and PE kits, coats, and book bags. But please NO old style logo items that your school no longer accept, tights, socks, stained, or holed items.

Please remember that these items are being gifted to another child.

You can donate directly in store when open, King of Candles, Kennet centre (formally Shaws Direct), Howden Insurance (formally A-Plan), Thatcham during open hours, or via the Foodbank areas in local supermarkets - simply place items folded, in a bag, tied up and drop in the Foodbank collection points.

What an amazing summer

WOW! It's been an incredibly busy summer. An amazing 1,200 items have found new homes 😍. 

My wonderful volunteers gave up their time to enable the shop to open 3 days a week throughout August. A HUGE THANK YOU to... Chris, Drew, Cazz, Kathryn, Kim, Sharon, Loz, Sandra, Cheryl, Ruchika, and Michael. And a special thank you to my mum (Pat), Kirsty, Jo, and Mel who came from Basingstoke to volunteer. 🤩
