Our service

TUXchange provides pre-loved school uniforms to support local families. Stock is donated and availability varies. Items are quality-checked and described fairly. We primarily operate online with local delivery or collection, sometimes supported by Foodbank partners or volunteers.

Orders and availability

Orders can be placed via our website. All items are subject to availability. As stock is limited and unique, we cannot guarantee availability of specific items. An order is accepted once we send a confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel or amend orders if stock is unavailable or an error has occurred.

Pricing, donations and payments

Our prices are kept as low as possible to cover operating costs. Payments are processed securely by a third-party payment provider - Squarespace. If you require financial support, please contact us.

Condition of items

All items are pre-loved and may show light signs of wear. Any notable defects will be disclosed where possible. Images are representative and colours may vary by screen.

Delivery and collection

Delivery is available within Newbury, Thatcham and nearby areas, subject to availability. Delivery may be carried out by volunteers or West Berkshire FoodBank. Please ensure delivery details are accurate.

Cancellations, refunds and returns

Orders may be cancelled before dispatch or collection by contacting us. After delivery or collection, please report any issues within 14 days. Where an item is materially different from its description, we will offer a replacement (if available) or a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.

User responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information when ordering and to treat volunteers and partners with respect. Items should be used safely and for their intended purpose.

Website use

You agree not to misuse our website or attempt to access restricted areas. We may suspend access if misuse or security risks are identified.

Liability

We provide items as pre-loved and at low cost. We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Intellectual property

All website content belongs to TUXchange CIC or its contributors and may not be reused without permission, except as permitted by law.

Privacy

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
