How it works
TUXchange is a non-profit, pre-loved school uniform service for Newbury and Thatcham.
Our aim is to make accessing school uniform simple, affordable and dignified — with no judgement, just support.
Due to the closure of our shop at the Kennet Centre, Newbury, on 30 January 2026 (as the site is being redeveloped), we are sadly unable to offer free exchanges at this time. We are working hard to find a new home so that we can reinstate this element of our service as soon as possible.
We are currently uploading all of our stock — over 600 items — to this website, with free delivery to customers in Newbury and Thatcham. Please bear with us while this process is completed, as it will take some time. Visit our shop.
Donations of clean, folded, and undamaged uniform are always welcome. Drop-offs can be made during opening hours at:

Help us secure a new home
On 31 January 2026, we had to vacate our shop in the Kennet Centre, Newbury, due to the centre's upcoming redevelopment.
We are moving all our stock online, but in order to continue the free exchange element of our service, we need a new shop.
Sadly, we've not been able to find a landlord who would let us use an empty unit for free, so we are asking for funds to help us cover the cost of rent for a small unit over the next couple of years.
